Wero is committed to keeping your personal and financial information safe. Our service is built with security as a top priority, meeting high European government and banking industry standards to keep your information safe and your payments secure.
Wero works closely with your bank to ensure your data is protected at every step. The Wero App is secured by your phone’s built-in authentication methods (PIN, fingerprint, or facial recognition) which means only you can access your Wero account from your device.
For the highest level of protection, we recommend enabling biometric authentication (fingerprint or face recognition) if your phone supports it, and always keeping your Wero app and your banking app updated to the latest version. -
Wero is designed to be as secure as it is simple to use. It offers bank-level security, and every transaction must be confirmed either with your password or, more likely, the biometric security in your phone. It always pays to be careful when shopping or banking online, however, so please check out our 10 golden rules to help keep your money safe: https://wero-wallet.eu/10-golden-rules
