Your onboarding experience is designed around the banking offer you selected.
Yes, you can open your account at Spuerkeess prior to arrival, without presenting a certificate of residence. Please note, however, that all expats must provide proof of residence when completing the final paperwork at the branch. For Non-EU residents, this proof of residence is called a “récépissé”. You can obtain the récépissé at your local commune once you have arrived in Luxembourg.
Only EU nationals (with the exception of residents from Portugal, Ireland, Denmark and Greece) can complete the standard online onboarding. Please note that some additional documents may still be required when signing the final paperwork at the branch. Non-EU nationals and expats coming via a relocation office, please contact the Expat Service at expat@spuerkeess.lu.
All expats are welcome at Spuerkeess and benefit from our six-month Zebra Premium welcome offer, free of charge.
