Yes. Receiving public assistance does not prevent you from selling your real estate.
If you have owned the real estate for over 10 years, you need not repay the assistance you have received.
If you have owned the real estate for under 10 years, you must repay the assistance you have received.
You may, however, contact the Ministry of Housing by mail to request an exemption from this requirement.
If the exemption is granted, you will not be able to apply for the State Guarantee on any future real estate acquisitions.
It is therefore recommended that you calculate the most profitable option:
Repaying assistance received and submitting a new application for the new real estate acquisition, or obtaining a (normally partial) exemption from repayment and not submitting a new demand.
The Guichet Unique des Aides au Logement staff tel. 8002-1010, email address: firstname.lastname@example.org can quickly assist you with that calculation.
