Spuerkeess Foundation

Under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg

Presentation of the Foundation

In 2025, Spuerkeess reached a major milestone in its societal commitment with the creation of the Spuerkeess Foundation. This foundation, hosted within the Fondation de Luxembourg, aims to support projects that shape the country’s future: social inclusion, financial education, and the enhancement of artistic heritage.

This initiative is part of Spuerkeess’s corporate social responsibility strategy and reflects a strong desire to structure its philanthropic activities. By relying on the recognised expertise of the Fondation de Luxembourg, Spuerkeess ensures transparent governance and efficient resource management. The Foundation is established for an initial period of five years (2025–2029), with the possibility of extension, in order to embed its action in the long term.

The Foundation’s missions

Social inclusion

It promotes the social inclusion of young people by supporting socio-educational projects that offer them opportunities for integration and personal fulfilment.

Financial education

It encourages financial education by supporting initiatives that strengthen citizens’ financial skills and contribute to greater economic autonomy.

Enhancement of artistic heritage

It is committed to promoting and preserving Luxembourg’s artistic heritage by highlighting local creativity and supporting projects that give national and international visibility to artists.

Robust governance and a strategic partnership

The foundation is managed by a Management Committee composed of representatives from Spuerkeess and the Fondation de Luxembourg, chaired by an independent member, ensuring balanced governance. This partnership guarantees that each supported project meets criteria of quality, impact, and transparency.

A long-term vision

The Spuerkeess Foundation aims to support several high-impact social and cultural projects each year. Beneficiaries will include associations, young people in difficulty, educational initiatives, and Luxembourg artists, thereby helping to strengthen social cohesion and enhance the country’s cultural visibility.

This initiative reflects our determination to actively contributing to the social and cultural development of the country. In this context, the Foundation represents an important step in Spuerkeess’s efforts to make our society more inclusive, as well as to promote the recognition of Luxembourgish talent on the international stage.

Françoise Thoma, CEO of Spuerkeess

We are pleased to support Spuerkeess in this ambitious philanthropic endeavour. The Spuerkeess Foundation perfectly illustrates how private actors can contribute to causes of public interest in a structured and effective way.
