Sponsorship and philanthropy activities

Witness of a socially responsible company

In light of its role as a socially responsible company, Spuerkeess undertakes to support, within the limits of its annual budgets, a number of cultural, sporting, humanitarian and social initiatives.

Generally speaking, the sponsorship and philanthropy initiatives undertaken by Spuerkeess are in keeping with the Bank's efforts to promote its identity and values.

Spuerkeess focuses its engagement on five areas that reflect the Bank's aspiration to support its clients through all stages of their lives:

Kids in action

Spuerkeess supports associations and events that encourage children and teenagers to undertake cultural and sporting activities. For example: children's sports tournaments.

Power students

Spuerkeess sponsors associations, schools and initiatives that support children and students in their secondary and higher education studies. For example: student societies.

Emotions for life

Spuerkeess supports associations and events that involve the general public and arouse positive emotions. For example: running races for the general public, music festivals, etc.

Sympathy

Spuerkeess may occasionally support non-profit organisations engaged in local social, cultural or sporting initiatives for specific, one-off events (milestone anniversaries, outstanding achievements, etc.) that do not come under one of the above sponsorship programmes.

Philantropy

Spuerkeess supports environmental, charitable, humanitarian and cultural organisations through a partnership with the Fondation de Luxembourg.

The partnership with the Fondation de Luxembourg is based on two pillars:

A partnership with the Fondation pour le Climat

which covers our philanthropic commitment to sustainability by supporting projects that promote biodiversity and the fight against global warming.

Spuerkeess Foundation

our sheltered foundation under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg, which covers our philanthropic commitment in the social field, with specific missions in financial education and the social inclusion of young people in Luxembourg via socio-educational projects, and in the cultural field, with a particular focus on the management of our important art collection.

The aim of this collaboration is to have clear governance and to capitalise on the Fondation de Luxembourg's expertise in the field of philanthropy.

Retroactive requests and those received at very short notice cannot be entertained.
