The benchmark for e-banking
Since its launch in the autumn of 1999, S-Net has aimed to become the e-banking benchmark in Luxembourg and to convince customers with its friendliness. Judging by the awards it has received (e.g. the German Design Award in 2018 for the app) and by the numbers, these two goals have largely been achieved. While this success story began on desktops, the real boom over the past few years has been the growing use of the mobile app. Of the more than 40 million sign-ins every year, nearly 80% of them occur via mobile phones.
Innovating to transform and simplify
We believe innovation is the will to change so that we can constantly make our customers’ daily lives better and easier.
A few recent examples:
Open banking – S-Net incorporates accounts held with POST, Banque Raiffeisen, BGL, BIL, ING and Banque de Luxembourg, and even allows customers to make transfers directly from these accounts.
A 24/7 virtual teller – S-Net customers can sign up for a broad range of banking products (personal loans, payment cards, etc.), manage their day-to-day tasks (e.g. raise the limit on a credit card or block a lost card, etc.) or even sign documents electronically via LuxTrust any time.
This medium currently offers access to 95% of standard banking products, and we will be expanding our offering to include all of them in the coming months.
Instant transfers – S-Net transfers between Spuerkeess accounts have always been instant. This feature is now also available 24/7 for all eligible transfers to a growing number of banks within the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA).
Accounts can be opened online directly in the S-Net Mobile app with identification via video call and immediate access to LuxTrust security details.
